Started by Bill McAlpin in the late 70s on undeveloped family land, today Hacienda La Minita is home to 300 acres of forest reserve, with an insecticide-free approach & a highly skilled & loyal workforce. Add in a hydro-electric powered mill & a discarded coffee husk biomass furnace to power parchment dryers & you start to understand why Bill is regarded as one of the leaders in sustainable coffee production. We can’t get enough of this coffee & the ethics behind its production, it’s becoming a tradition to roast this Costa Rican fave. Good to have you back, La Minita!
