ONE MORE THING:

New variety in the house! The Tabi variety was developed by Dr. Germán Moreno, head of the Genetic & Biotechnology Improvement Department at Cenicafé & released by the Colombia Coffee Growers Federation in 2002. This tall F5 hybrid was created from Typica & Bourbon which are responsible for its excellent cup quality, and Hibrido de Timor which contributes a high resistance to Coffee Leaf Rust. This variety is gaining in popularity with farmers like Jose Olmedo Sanchez who has planted it on a small part of his 5 hectare farm to create this special fully washed & sun-dried microlot.

FAM roast (Our acronym thingy for ‘For All Methods’) is how we roll, meaning you can use any coffee from Single O for any brewing method, ranging from your filter through to your espresso, unless from time to time when we recommend something specifically for espresso only or for filter only, and we’ll let you know.
