FREEPOUR BATCH BREW ON TAP
Easy to use, delicious, fast (get your café coffee in less than 15 seconds) & full of single origin choices. Plus, naturally better than espresso on the environment, utilising less coffee and power. We’re sooo glad to have landed on this concept back in 2018. First installed in our Surry Hills café, and manufactured by Six Simple Machines, Freepour can now be found across Australia and Japan.
PROBABLY THE WORLD’S FIRST COMPOSTABLE COFFEE DRIP BAG
We weren’t setting foot into the single serve category without a waste solution. After two years in the making, we launched ‘Parachutes’, the first fully compostable drip coffee bag, for disposal in your home compost. The thing we love most about this compostable coup is that it gets the coffee grounds along with the filter bag into compost, the place where they should be.
THE JUGGLER
The Juggler is a milk dispensing system designed for cafes, that uses 10 litre bladders in place milk bottles. It speeds up service, helps us baristas focus on the coffee and the customer, saves milk waste as well a whopping 80% of plastic waste compared to 2 litre bottles. Our Surry Hills takeaway bar was the site of the first proof-of-concept system, then brought to life by a newly formed business, Six Simple Machines.
TAKING A STAND AGAINST CUP WASTE
Sometimes it’s what you don’t do that’s the innovative part. Single O always recognised that single use cups were wasteful. Although lucrative, we’ve shunned the sale of branded Single O single use cups to cafes we supply. Alternatively, we’ve encouraged reusables with Standing Bars and Loan-A-Mug programs.
